Each episode will highlight a specific eco theme that will be showcased, explored and demonstrated in use by and on the featured ranch, farm or business.

LASSOING THE WIND 

Ranchers and farmers have been using the wind to generate power for over 200
years. Some of them are even utilizing grazing pastures and fields for the placement
of industrial sized turbines that are capable of producing large amounts of electricty.
Eco-Cowboys will present an insightful look at the methods and technologies being effectively used today.

FROM PASTURE TO PLATE 

Excercising the power of beef! Where does it come from and how does it get
there? The cattle and ranching industries are meeeting the challenges to bring
safe, affordable and healthy beef products to a worldwide market. Most people
are unaware of the efforts and hard work of dedicated ranchers and beef suppliers
to deliver a quality product to the dinner tables of the world. Eco-Cowboys will
take you on an illuminating journey from pasture to plate.

GROWING ORGANIC

Ranchers and farmers are meeting the high demand for organically grown and raised
food. This need is stimulating a small group of farmers, ranchers and individuals to
"step up to the plate". The who,
 what, where and how of how organic foods make it
to your dinner table. Eco-Cowboys will explore what it means to be certified natural.

FIRE ON THE LAND

The subject is fire. How it destroys, supports and nurtures the ecosystem. The fact is,
fire is needed to promote the stability and health of our natural resources. Eco-Cowboy
s will examine the use of fire as a powerful and effective tool in cultivating the land and preserving our environment.

For ranchers and farmers, survival has always been a struggle over water. How do they
use and manage America's most precious resource? Their water management techniques are benefitting wildlife, fisheries, stream flows and water quality. Eco-Cowboys will showcase their environmentally sound method and practices.

FUELING THE FUTURE

Ranchers and farmers are using technology and innovative thinking to open the door
to
 the production of alternative fuels. Methane gas from waste, algae farms and crops
for Ethanol. Biofuels are driving the future! Eco-Cowboys will introduce this fascinating technology. Meet the people behind the scenes, that are developing and using biofuels.

WILDLIFE IN OUR BACK YARD

Can people co-exist with wildlife? Ranchers and farmers from East to West are
addressing the controversial issues of the introduction as well as the protection of rare and endangered species. Eco-Cowboys

STEWARDS OF THE LAND

Stewarding the land is not a cause; it is a way of life. For hundreds of years, ranchers
and farmers have been caring for the land. They were the first conservationists. They
know "If you're gonna make a 
living off the land, you take pretty good care of it. 'Cause if you don't you'll go broke."

Their actions have awarded them the title, Stewards of the Land. Meet the best of
the best, the top of the line, the true Eco-Cowboy.

ECO-COWBOYS: THE NEXT GENERATIONS

"Raising livestock and plowing fields is hard work and you're not going to get rich
working the land." The next generation of Eco-Cowboys are learning to ride a horse
before they can walk and drive a tractor before they can drive a car. They are
educated, motivated and inspired. They are using the wisdom of the past and the knowledge and high-tech tools of the present to become the next generation of
Stewards of the Land. Eco-Cowboys will introduce you to the exceptional individuals blazing the trail to the future of conservation.

THE ECO-COWBOY AWARDS

Eco-Cowboys will spotlight and honor the top ten outstanding projects and
demonstrations chosen from the Eco Challenge competition; "You Too Can Be An
Eco-Cowboy!" Meet the finalists up close and personal as they introduce their winning video entries. The votes have been tallied. Honors will be awarded. Eco-Cowboys celebrates their exemplary ecologically sound practices and recognizes them as
genuine Eco-Cowboys.
